Ahmed Noorani’s mother has also filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court for the recovery of her sons, claiming that her two sons were abducted at 1:05 am on Tuesday night by unknown personnel from two of the country’s intelligence agencies. The petition also states that the two detained individuals are engineers and have no connection with their brother Ahmed Noorani’s reporting or investigative journalism. Ahmed Noorani’s mother, Amina Bashir, has made the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Interior, Inspector General of Police and SHO of Noon Police Station a party to the case. In the hearing on Thursday, Justice Inam Amin Minhas of the Islamabad High Court asked the IG Islamabad how much time do you need? In response, the IG said, “Give us two weeks.”
When the IG Punjab asked for time to recover the two missing brothers, Ahmed Noorani’s mother became tearful on the rostrum. Ahmed Noorani’s mother said, “Tell me, knowing Allah, what you would have done if you had children or if they had children.” That day, I asked you, “Who will be responsible if something happens to my sons?” The court should order the recovery of both the missing brothers. The IG Islamabad said that the IGs of all the provinces have been contacted and information has been sought from them. We have also written to the IGIB. The FIA ​​is yet to respond. No one with that name has gone abroad yet. Lawyer Iman Mazari said that the police have taken all those who had cameras. A journalist was also picked up yesterday and then the FIA ​​produced him. Justice Inam Amin Minhas issued instructions to the Defense Secretary to submit a response at the next hearing. The court, seeking a response, adjourned the hearing until after Eid.
