Karachi is the largest city and commercial and economic center of Pakistan. Before the 15-year rule of the PPP, it was considered one of the liveable cities to some extent. But now, according to global rankings, Karachi is considered one of the worst cities in the world in terms of liveability. However, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has claimed that the Sindh government has solved Karachi’s problems to a large extent. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the highway operations of Sindh Emergency Service Rescue 1122. Rescue 1122 provides emergency services. Murad Shah said that according to Islamic teachings, whoever saves the life of one person saves the life of all humanity. Murad Ali Shah said that rescue plays an important role in natural disasters and other accidents. Only the rescue staff can make this program successful. The problems of the people will be reduced with the highway operations service. He said that the Sindh government is working day and night to serve the people. The provincial government is ours, the mayor is ours, so the responsibility is also ours, while Karachi has many problems. But the Sindh government has largely solved the problems. He said that there is a need to increase the government capacity. There was already a need for Rescue 1122 in Sindh. 16 more Rescue 1122 centers have been built, while rescue personnel have been given proper training and the rescue capacity will be increased to highways and coastal areas. The Sindh Chief Minister said that Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has given special instructions for water supply and drainage. Addressing the ceremony, he said that Karachi has many problems, but the Sindh government has solved them to a large extent.
The ruling PPP in Sindh is brazenly singing the tune of the province’s development, while the facts are the opposite. Karachi is the capital of Sindh province, where the PPP has never been welcomed. Be it the Sindh Assembly or the local bodies of Karachi, the PPP has always been disappointed by the residents of the city. This is the first time that the local bodies of Karachi were taken over in collusion with state institutions and by the power of the Sindh government. It happened that the MQM boycotted the local body elections on the orders of a powerful institution, which greatly disappointed the residents of the city and people did not come out of their homes to vote. Powerful forces had made systematic arrangements to block the path of the Tehreek-e-Insaf in the local bodies of Karachi. The files of previous policies were opened to give representation to the Urdu-speaking people to the Jamaat-e-Islami and the 1980 film was replayed. If you want to analyze this, you should examine the figures of the votes cast by the Jamaat-e-Islami. Murad Shah rightly said that his party controls the Sindh government and the local bodies of Karachi. But it is not true that the PPP Sindh government has largely solved the basic problems of Karachi in 15 years. Karachi’s problems have increased fourfold in the PPP’s fifteen years. It is not right to mourn only Karachi. The problems faced by the people in rural Sindh have increased tenfold. Larkana has become the division with the highest incidence of AIDS. Clean water is not available here, which has led to an increase in hepatitis. Newborns in Sukkur start their lives with various diseases. In most areas, children do not meet international standards in terms of mental health. Various tehsils of Mirpur Khas division are suffering from food shortages. The increase in suicides in rural Sindh has increased to an alarming extent. The law and order situation is such that religiously violent elements, under the patronage of the police, burn a doctor alive.
People come from all over Pakistan to earn in Karachi. This is the reason why tax collection is also high from here and Sindh’s share in it has increased after the 18th Constitutional Amendment. Where and how is all this money being spent? Bribery in Sindh is twice as high as in other provinces. From clerks to officers and ministers to the Chief Minister, everyone is naked in this pond. Some industrialists or estate masters bear the expenses of Bilawal House, while others are adjusting the workers of the PPP. If a nationwide commission is formed regarding financial regulations, Punjab will be the next after Sindh. Sindh will be the only one. The difference in the development of the two provinces becomes clear as soon as you enter Multan from Sindh. Lahore cannot be compared to Karachi. Karachi’s dilapidated roads are enough to show the Sindh government’s loyalty to this city. By traveling to wealthy areas like Federal B Area, Gulshan Iqbal, Bahadurabad and PCHS, the Sindh Chief Minister himself can observe whether problems have been solved or have increased. Basic needs like water are being met. It would be better if Murad Shah, who does not provide the necessary information, does not rub salt in the wounds of the residents of the city by making such statements.
